Newark City Municipal Court

The Newark City Municipal Court is located at 31 Green Street, Newark, New Jersey, 07102.  The Chief Municipal Prosecutor is Marvin C. Adames.  The Chief Municipal Court Judges is the Honorable Richard A. Nunes.  Court sessions are held on weekdays from 8:30 a.m., with traffic violations also being heard on weekday nights at 4:00 p.m.  As one would expect from New Jersey's largest city, the Newark city municipal court hears a variety of traffic and criminal charges, including driving while intoxicated, marijuana possession, drug possession, assault, and shoplifting.
